Learn to Charleston in a day: Lewes, Portsmouth, Worthing & London
This is the perfect introduction for those who want to master the basic Charleston. With simple and playful steps, our expert teachers break all the moves with lively exercises, games and routines. Workshops are open to those who are new to dance and to the seasoned dancer who wants to perfect their solo moves. The emphasis is on enjoying what is very fun dance and getting the chance to socialise with other dancers in your local community.

What does the workshop include?
In our three hour workshop you will knock your knees, swivel your toes and perfectly the ultimate cheeky Charleston face. You will grasp the classic Charleston, its variations and a variety of solo moves including scarecrows, itches and the mess around. The workshop is divided into three sections where you learn three Charleston styles and within each section learn a short routine.
10:00-10:45am: The Basics: Introduction to The Charleston and the variations. 15 mins break
11:00-11:45pm: Master Solo Moves: Prepare to acquire a whole variety of classic solo moves to whip out on your next night out. 15 mins break
12:00-13:00pm: Partnered 20’s Charleston: Partner up with your fellow class mates and learn the same moves that dazzle the Strictly dancefloor.
